Meet The Team
Sir. Alfredo and I would like to introduce ourselves.
We are a training team that travels the country, working with both families and rescue organizations to build stronger, healthier connections with their dogs. Together, we focus on creating trust, improving communication, and fostering bonds that keep dogs in loving homes.
Sir. Alfredo
You can call me Alfie, everyone does. I can be a little aloof sometimes, but I am learning right along with you and your hooman. I just celebrated my second birthday! I have been with Dan, my hooman for my whole entire lifes, must be 12rd or 14st years now, I'm not good with maths and times, but I am good at alot of stuff and good a boy, at least that is what I'm told a lot.
So, my most favorite important job here is to make sure the treat stocks are checked daily and refilled regularly so me and you can share them. oh,, also I am here to halp you have a positive and rewarding interaction with other dogggos its very important for us doggos to be socialized. I am so excited to meet you and your hooman!
Meet the Trainer
Hi, I’m Dan — the founder of The Roving Rover: Traveling Dog Training.
About six years ago, I set out on the road with a simple mission: to help folks on small homesteads and farms by sharing what I knew about animal care and handling. I got to work with all kinds of animals and learned something new everywhere I went. Then life took an unexpected turn — a motorcycle accident brought that journey to a halt. But it also brought Alfie into my life. He’s my service dog, my partner, and the reason I truly understand just how deep the bond between people and their dogs can be.
With Alfie by my side, I started The Roving Rover to make dog training both effective and compassionate — and to bring it straight to you. My background is a little different from most trainers: I’ve worked with everything from reptiles and primates to falconry birds, and I’ve been lucky to learn from some of the best mentors in the field. All of that experience has shaped the way I train today.
At the heart of it, my goal is simple: to help you and your dog build trust, communicate better, and enjoy a lifelong partnership. I’d be honored to be part of your journey, and I look forward to meeting you and your pup.
